Finc. Batch 8 Demo Day – A new startup wave rising from Danang

On 12 th September, DNES run a Demo Day for Batch 8 of our Founder Incubation Programme. This event drew a lot of attention and participation from investors and experienced startup mentors based not only in Da Nang but also in Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City.

Demo Day is regarded as an important stepping stone, consolidating the maturity of the incubatees, and a great chance for startups to raise early funds from investors. In order to present at Demo Day, all 4 startups had completed their business models and received certain traction.

Cash-back application for online shopping, refunding 3% – 20%, with more than 100 brands from Vietnam’s biggest ecommerce platforms such as Shopee, Tiki, Sendo, Adayroi, Lazada, Agoda… Within only 3 months after launching, Cashbag has become the most popular cash back application for online shopping in Vietnam, reaching 2M5$ GMV and 100,000+ refunded orders per month, with the average growth rate of 300%/month. Cashbag is rasing 400,000$ for its growing plan in the next 12 months.

EasySalon [link]

ERP (SaaS) specifically for Salon and Spa in beauty industry. Easy Salon has got more than 20 customers in Da Nang and is preparing for market expansion. 120,000$ is the amount Easy Salon is raising for its next 12-month plan, particulary for the entrance to Ho Chi Minh City.

Weaver sports-style electric motorbike is the first product of DatBike when the startup wants to penetrate Vietnam’s super-potential electric motorcycle market. DatBike has received 100 pre-orders for this version and also signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Becamex to build a large-scale production line in Binh Duong. To start conquering the electric motorbike market in Vietnam, DatBike needs $300,000 for the next 12 months.

AI Fuel

Targeting corporations and startups with the need for labeled and categorized data for data processing systems, machine learning systems, AI Fuel provides data labeling and classification services using human resources from the network of BPO companies and especially from the internet user community in Vietnam. AI Fuel has 500 associates, and is completing a mobile application that allows the community to participate, and especially has received 6 orders from both domestic and overseas customers, demonstrating the market potential. very large field. AI Fuel called for $200,000 to complete the IT infrastructure and grow the user community over the next 6 months.

CashBag, DatBike, EasySalon and AI Fuel are just 4 of more than a dozen startups being incubated by Finc, but they represent a new generation of founders and startups born in but targeting beyond Da Nang. It is also a good sign of the Da Nang startup ecosystem which is becoming more and more mature.

At Demo Day, Finc. was also proud to inform the the newest partners who will support us in connecting our startups to the world and vice versa. It is the iAcelerate Acceleration Program organized by the University of Wollongong (Australia), and especially the Swiss Entrepreneurship Program. Through these partnerships, we wish to call for more participation from both domestic and foreign organizations, investors and mentors to come to DNES and to Da Nang startup ecosystem.
